'Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving' - hank Rosso

After a year of difficulty due to closure from local flooding and the global pandemic, fundraising will be a vital part of our recovery as a registered charity.

The Sports Hall, with all its facilities and services, is an essential resource for the Snaith and District area and we want to ensure we are here to support the community for years to come. Moneys raised this 21/22 financial year will be focused into our 'spend to save' programme which aims to reduce our outgoings by upgrading our lighting/heating/water supply, and at the same time reducing our impact on the local environment by reducing our carbon footprint.

Our Recent Funding

We would like to thank all parties for their generous donations to help us improve our building and services. We are taking the necessary steps to meet our objective to be a sustainable venue for the community.

Drax Community Fund donated £500 to our sports hall. This money was spent changing our downstairs female toilet lights to new LED motion sensor fittings.

One of our committee members hosted their birthday party to raise funds. These funds were used to change our downstairs male toilets to new LED motion sensor fittings.

We were successful in procuring a grant from the Goole Windfarms Fund which has enabled us to change the lights throughout the rest of the building to motion sensor LED. this means we are now minimising our electrical usage which should help us both financially and in reducing our environmental impact.

We have also successfully procured an IT grant which has allowed us to move our systems into the 21st century, making more of our systems paperless therefore reducing waste. In exchange for this grant we will be offering guided sessions at the Sports Hall for the community all about making IT accessible so watch this space for classes coming soon!
